The authors retrace the steps of the restoration work for the panel with Joseph’s history from the Gates of Paradise; focusing on the specific choices for the restoring of the bronze (with Rochelle salt bathes) and the following conservation method choosen (display case filled with nitrogen). Moreover, they suggest a few possible ways to detach the remaining reliefs from the door frame without damaging it.
