Description

This is Vittorio Ghiberti’s first declaration to the Catasto and he is presented as a worker for the Baptistery doors. The possessions of the family are still the same: Vittorio owns the house in Borgo Allegri, the plots of land in San Donato Frozano, the farm and its annex in Badia a Settimo, the workshop “al Canto alla Paglia”. He also lists a house in Pelago, a vineyard in San Gervasio and a courtyard transformed in workshop in San Michele Visdomini parish. The Badia fiesolana owes him some money for a silver head. He lives with his family: his wife and kids (among them Buonaccorso) and his mother Marsilia.
