Ghiberti's Third Commentary and its background

The author links Ghiberti’s optics studies (perspectiva) written in his third Commentary to his goldsmith production and his stained glass window desings; pointing out the light as the common and fundamental element. Furthermore, the author believes that Niccolò Niccoli and his circle were interested in visual perception and in its relation to aestethic.
