Description

Transcription of a lesson held by Courajod about Jacopo della Quercia and Lorenzo Ghiberti. Courajod wanted to demonstrate that the origins of the Renaissance are to be found in the Flemish Naturalism at first, and then in the interest and study of Classical art. He then suggested that Ghiberti’s works of art are a clear example of this, due to the fact that it’s possible to find in them both the typical elements of early Renaissance art and the influence of North-European artists.
