Description
In his second declaration for the Catasto, Lorenzo (“di Bartolo”) Ghiberti writes that he is in charge of the Baptistery doors. He still owns the house in Borgo Allegri and the plot of land in San Donato Fronzano, but he is now also the owner of a flock of sheep. He lives with his wife and his sons, Tommaso e Vittorio. The Arte di Calimala owes him over 200 florins.
