Portata al catasto del 29 maggio 1433

In his third declaration for the Catasto, Lorenzo (“di Bartolo”) Ghiberti writes that he is in charge of the Baotistery doors. The Arte di Calimala owes him over 1000 florins. Ghiberti is still the owner of the house in Borgo Allegri, of the plot of land in San Donato Fronzano and of a flock of sheep, but he also owns a farm (podere) in Careggi, Florence, received by the Arte di Calimala. He lives with his wife and his sons, Vittorio e Tommasio. He has some debts with Simone di Nanni and Papero di Meo, assitants in his atelier.
