Description
On the fifth declaration to the Catasto Lorenzo Ghiberti is recorded with both his patronymic: “Lorenzo di Cione di Ser Bonaccorso Ghiberti altrimenti chiamato Lorenzo di Bartoluccio”. Since his last declaration he bought a few vineyards in Settimo and Pelago; he still owns his house in Borgo Alllegri, the plots of land in San Donato Frozano, the farm and a plot of land in Badia a Settimo; while he doesn’t list his farm in Careggi and the plots of land in Montepiano. On the other hand, a house with workshop “al Canto alla Paglia” (a crossroad in Florence) is pawned at the Monte as a dowry for his son’s, Vittorio, wife.
